  7. I'm having severe (EMF) Extremely Low Level Magnetic Field Interference
  8. problems with Apple 14" AV Color Displays connected to Centris 660AV,
  9. Centris 650 and Macintosh LCIII computers.

  11. Symptom: continuous vertical undulating interference on the monitor.

  13. DISCUSSION ------------------------------------------------------

  15. Apple monitors are no more susceptible to EMF than any other monitor on the
  16. market today.  All monitors will demonstrate symptoms associated with EMF
  17. if the source is of sufficient strength.
  18.  
  19. Here are a few possible solutions:
  20.  
  21. 1.  Check the AC power line for noise.  Apple has seen instances where
  22.     noisey power lines induced the exact symptom you are describing.
  23.  
  24. 2.  Locate the source of the EMF and then shield the wall between the
  25.     source and the equipment.
  26.  
  27. 3.  Rotate the position of the monitors slightly, this may decrease the
  28.     effect of the EMF field.
  29.  
  30. 4.  Shield the monitors with special five sided mu metal shields.  However,
  31.     please note that this is a very expensive solution.
